Note that this workaround is only applicable to TikTok users over the age of 18 who are seeing the age-protected message in error. There is no way to turn off TikTok’s age protection feature if you are aged 13 to 17.

How to Fix Age Protection on TikTok

If you’re seeing the “This post is age-protected” message on TikTok and you’re over the age of 18, it can be frustrating, to say the least. There’s only one way to remove this message, and that’s to change your birthday on TikTok. However, changing your birthday isn’t that simple.

How to Change Your Birthday on TikTok

If TikTok is showing you age-protected messages in error, you’ll need to change your birthday. Unfortunately, changing your birthday on TikTok isn’t as easy as changing your TikTok username. To update your birthday, you’ll have to contact TikTok support. Here’s how to do that:

1. Launch TikTok and go to Profile.
2. Tap the three horizontal lines at the top right of your screen.
3. Tap Settings and Privacy > Report a Problem.
4. Select Account and Profile.

5. Tap Editing Profile > Other > Need More Help.
6. Type in a request to change your date of birth then hit Submit.
7. Note that you’ll be asked for a government ID to prove your birthday and age when customer service contacts you.

Once your birthday is changed, you should be able to view age-protected content without any issues.

Note: If you don’t hear back from TikTok customer services or cannot change your birthday, you may need to delete your account and create a new one to access age-protected content.

Are Age-Protected Posts Different From Restricted Mode?

Don’t confuse age-protected posts with TikTok’s Restricted Mode. The latter is a mode that can be set up for TikTok users of any age, even those over 18, and is ideal for parents or guardians who want to limit what younger users can see.

Here’s how to enable Restricted Mode:

1. Launch TikTok and tap the Profile icon at the bottom right.
2. Tap the three horizontal lines menu at the top right.
3. Tap Settings and Privacy > Content Preferences.
4. Select Restricted Mode > Turn On.

5. Choose a four-digit passcode to turn the feature on, then tap Next.
6. Enter the passcode again to confirm, then tap Set.
7. When Restricted Mode is enabled, you should see it at the top of your screen.

8. To disable Restricted Mode, follow steps 1 through 4 above, but this time, tap Turn Off, then enter your passcode and tap Next to turn off Restricted Mode.

TikTok also offers a filter system that can be set up to automatically block content with specific hashtags from appearing in your feed.

How to Delete a Story on Snapchat

When it comes to deleting a story on Snapchat, there’s no way to delete your entire story, as we just mentioned — instead, you can go through your story and decide which Snaps to nix, and which ones to keep. Here’s how to do that:

1. Launch the Snapchat app on your device.
2. Click the Profile icon at the top left to go to your Profile.
3. Tap My Story to view your story.
4. If you’ve added multiple Snaps to your story, tap to advance to the one(s) you want to delete.
5. Press and hold on the Snap you wish to delete.
6. Tap Delete, then tap Done.
7. In the popup window, tap Delete to confirm the deletion of your Snap.
8. Repeat this step for any snaps you want to delete from your story.

Note: If you created a story, you can delete not only any Snaps you added to it but also those added by anyone else.

How to Add Snaps to My Story

If you changed your mind after deleting a Snap from your story and want to add it back, there are a couple of ways to do this:

1. Go to your Profile and tap Add to My Story or choose New Private Story or New Shared Story to add Snaps to your story. Then, select the Snaps you want to add from your Camera Roll or Memories and tap My Story to add them.

Note: You should also see a cake icon next to a friend’s name in your chat if it’s their birthday. However, if your friend hasn’t enabled Birthday Party, you won’t be able to see the cake icon when it’s their birthday.

Why Is My PS5 Screen Flickering?

If you’re wondering why you’re experiencing the PS5 screen flickering issue, there could be a number of reasons. The most common one is a handshake problem from the HDCP or transfer rate to the HDMI cable — or your HDMI cable may be damaged or faulty. Resolving this could be as simple as replacing your HDMI cable, or might involve tinkering with some settings on your PS5. For the PS5, an HDMI 2.0 or high-speed HDMI cable is the one to get. We’ll also look at some other things that could be causing the problem and ways to fix it below.

1. Restart Your PS5

Turning it off and on again may be an age-old solution to common tech problems, but it rings true here, too. Restarting your console might make the issue go away if you’re looking for a temporary fix. If this resolves your problem for good, great! However, you might find the flickering starts up again after your PS5 has been on for some time.

2. Try Using Your PS5 Horizontally

This may sound a bit strange, but bear with us. If your console is usually vertical, try lying it down horizontally. This has solved the screen flickering issue for some people.

3. Disable HDR

If it seems like your PS5 screen flickering started after you edited HDR settings, you can try changing the settings back, then ensure HDR is disabled on both your console and your TV. Hopefully, this will solve the issue. Here’s how to disable HDR on your PS5:

1. Go to Settings > Screen and Video.
2. Scroll down to Colour and select HDR.
3. Select Off.
4. Restart your console to ensure the changes are applied.

4. Adjust Your Transfer Rate Settings

If you’re still experiencing issues with your PS5 screen flickering, you can try changing the 4K transfer rate to -1 or -2, as this seems to fix the issue for many gamers. Here’s how to do that:

1. On your PS5, go to Settings > Screen and Video.
2. Select Video Output, scroll down, and select 4K Video Transfer Rate.
3. Change the transfer rate setting to -1 or -2.
4. Save the changes and restart your console.
5. Hopefully, one of these changes will stop the screen flickering.

5. Disconnect your PS5

Handshake issues with your HDMI cable could be the culprit of your PS5 screen flickering. Disconnecting everything could help! Here’s what to do:

1. Unplug your PS5 from the TV for 60 seconds by removing the HDMI cable at both ends.
2. Turn both your TV and PS5 off and remove the power cables.
3. Then, plug everything back in, power things up, and see if the issue is fixed.

6. Adjust Resolution, RGB Mode, and HDCP Settings

If none of the above fixes have worked for you so far, another thing you can try is disabling game mode and HDCP (high-bandwidth digital copyright protection) by going into your PS5 settings. HDCP prevents external devices recording video from your console, so don’t disable this if you’re using a game capture device to record video. If you want to disable HDCP, here’s how to do that:

1. Go to Settings > System.
2. Choose HDMI.
3. From the list of options, turn the toggle off next to Enable HDCP.
4. Restart your PS5 to see if the issue is resolved.

To turn off game mode, go to Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > ALLM and turn the setting off. You can also disable your TV’s Game Mode to see if this helps.

The PS5 screen resolution is set to Automatic by default. However, if you’re experiencing PS5 screen flickering, you can try reducing the resolution to 1080p to see if this resolves the issue by going to Settings > Screen and Video > Resolution and manually selecting 1080p.

Setting the RGB Range to full or limited may also help. Here’s how to do this:

1. Go to Settings > Screen and Video.
2. Scroll down and select RGB Range.
3. By default, this should be set to Automatic (Recommended).
4. Try changing it to Full and save your changes.
5. Restart your console to see if this fixes the issue.
6. If it’s still flickering, try changing RGB range to Limited, saving your changes, and restarting.

7. Update your PS5

Not having the latest updates installed on your console could be causing issues. Try updating your PS5 system as well as your TV firmware to see if you can fix the screen flickering problem. To do this, go to Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings to check for the most recent updates.

8. Enable Performance Mode

The PS5’s Performance Mode favors high frame rates, and turning it on might help with issues if your PS5 screen is flickering. Here’s how to enable it:

1. Go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings.
2. Select Game Presets > Performance Mode or Resolution Mode.
3. Ensure Performance Mode is selected.
4. Restart your console.

9. Adjust Screen Size/Display Area

Still no luck? Some PS5 owners have reported that adjusting the screen size or Display Area so it’s a bit smaller has resolved issues with screen flickering. Here’s how to do that:

1. Go to Settings > Screen and Video.
2. Select Screen.
3. Select Adjust Display Area.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to select a smaller display area.
5. Once you’re finished, save any changes and restart your PS5.

10. Replace Your HDMI Cable

As mentioned earlier, the issue could be as simple as a faulty, damaged, or incompatible HDMI cable. Check that you’re using a high-speed or HDMI 2.0 cable and that it isn’t frayed or damaged. If you’re using a slower cable or if it is damaged, replacing it with a new one could be the key to solving your PS5 screen flickering issue. 1. Launch the TikTok app and navigate to the video you want to share. If it’s a video you watched previously, you can find it in your TikTok Watch History.
2. If it’s your own video, tap the three dots to share. If it’s someone else’s video, tap the Share arrow at the bottom right.

4. Tap the Facebook icon, and the Facebook app will launch.
5. You should see a draft post with the TikTok video.

Sharing TikTok videos to Facebook Stories is a bit more complicated. There are plenty of tutorials online claiming that it’s easy to share TikTok videos directly from the app to your Stories on Facebook, but sadly this isn’t the case (although this may work for some videos). The lack of ability to share a TikTok video to Facebook Stories directly is actually the topic for various posts on Reddit, and it’s an issue TikTok hasn’t yet fixed.

Don’t worry, though — there are a couple of options available to you if you want to share a TikTok video to your Facebook story, and we’ll take you through each option below.

How to Save and Share a TikTok Video to Facebook Stories

If you don’t mind downloading the TikTok video you want to share to your device, then you can share it from there to Facebook Stories. Here’s how to do that:

1. Launch the TikTok app and find the video you want to share.
2. If it’s your own video, tap the three dots; if it’s someone else’s video, tap the Share arrow at the bottom right of your screen.
3. Tap Save Video and wait for the video to download. This may take some time, depending on the size of the video file.
4. You should see the progress bar for the download at the bottom of your screen. Once the video has finished downloading, the Share to menu will pop up, but you can ignore this since we’re sharing to Facebook Stories.

5. Open the Facebook app and tap Create Story at the top.
6. Choose the saved TikTok video from your Camera Reel.

7. Note that longer videos are trimmed to 60 seconds, but you can also choose to trim a specific section of the video by tapping Trim.
8. You can add effects, text, or emojis to your video before sharing if you like.
9. To share your video to Facebook Stories, tap Share.

How to Share TikTok Videos to Facebook Stories via Instagram

Since you can’t currently share most TikTok videos directly to Facebook Stories, there is another way. Provided your Instagram account is connected to your Facebook, you can share content posted on Instagram to Facebook. Here’s how to share a TikTok video to Facebook Stories via Instagram:

1. Open the TikTok app and find the video you want to share.
2. Tap the three dots if it’s your video and the Share arrow if it’s someone else’s video.
3. Tap the Stories (Instagram) icon.
4. Your video will automatically show a saving icon. Once it reaches 100%, Instagram will open.

5. To share the story, tap the arrow at the bottom right.
6. Tap Sharing Options.
7. When the Share to Facebook screen appears, tap Continue. If your Facebook and Instagram accounts aren’t already connected, follow the on-screen prompts to link your accounts.
8. Tap Share to share the video to both your Instagram and Facebook Stories.

On some videos, you may see an option to directly share to Facebook Stories when you tap the three dots or the Share arrow. However, this option isn’t reliable and doesn’t currently appear for all videos.

Restart Your PC

When Twitter won’t work in Chrome, a quick restart of your PC may solve the problem. Try restarting your PC to see if the issue is fixed.

Restart Google Chrome

If Twitter isn’t working, you could try restarting Chrome.

1. Click the X in the top right of the Google Chrome window to close it.
2. Wait a few minutes, then open Google Chrome again and see if the issue persists.

Try Browsing In Incognito Mode

If none of the above fixes have worked for you, why not try browsing in incognito mode? Google Chrome’s incognito mode — known as private browsing on some other browsers — could help resolve the issue with Twitter if it’s caused by connectivity issues.

Update Google Chrome

You could always try updating Google Chrome to ensure you’re running the latest version. Here’s how to do that:

1. Launch Google Chrome.
2. Click the three vertical dots menu at the top right of your screen.
3. Select Settings.
4. From the left-hand menu, choose About Chrome.
5. Chrome should now automatically check for and install any new updates.

Check if Twitter Is Down

If Twitter won’t work in Chrome, it could be caused by something as simple as a Twitter outage. You can check to see if Twitter is down by visiting DownDetector — though if there’s an outage, you’ll have to sit tight and wait for Twitter to fix the problem.

Restart Your Router

Sometimes a router restart can resolve any issues accessing Twitter or other sites if the problem is caused by poor internet connectivity. If your router has a power button, press it and wait for it to finish turning off. Once it’s powered off, unplug it from the mains, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on to see if the issue persists.

Disable Chrome Extensions

Chrome Extensions can come in pretty handy for a variety of tasks, but they can also cause conflicts which could interfere with Twitter loading properly, for example if they’re corrupt or have a bug. You can disable Chrome extensions to see if this resolves the issue connecting to Twitter.

1. Launch Google Chrome and click the three vertical dots menu at the top right of your screen.
2. Select Extensions > Manage Extensions.
3. Find the extension you suspect is the culprit — for example, it may be a recently installed extension — and toggle it off.
4. You can try this for each extension in turn until you locate the issue, or turn them all off to see if this solves the problem.

Clear Your Browser Cache

Clearing your browser cache can fix a variety of issues, so if something goes wrong while accessing Twitter, here’s how to clear your browser cache:

1. Launch Google Chrome and click the three vertical dots menu at the top right.
2. Select More Tools.
3. Click Clear Browsing Data.

4. Select the Time Range, or choose All Time to delete everything, then click Clear Data. Make sure that browsing history, download history, cookies & other site data, and cached images & files are all checked.

Reset Chrome Browser

It may seem like a fairly drastic option, but you could always reset Google Chrome. This resets all Google Chrome’s settings to factory mode, and here’s how to do it:

1. Launch Google Chrome.
2. Click on the three vertical dots menu and then click Settings.
3. From the left-hand menu, select Reset Settings.

4. Select Restore Settings to Their Original Defaults > Reset Settings.

Disable Your VPN

If you use a VPN to protect your IP address, you may be unable to access Twitter or location-specific Twitter content. Disabling your VPN could help. The steps to do this will vary depending on the VPN you’re using.

Disable Your Antivirus Program

We don’t necessarily recommend disabling your antivirus, but if Twitter won’t work in Chrome, you could give it a try. If your antivirus software is flagging Twitter as a threat, it may not load properly. Don’t forget to enable your antivirus again once you’ve finished on Twitter.

A better long-term solution is to add Twitter as an exception or mark it as safe so that your antivirus doesn’t prevent access. The steps to do this will depend on which antivirus software you’re using, but you’ll usually find this information in your antivirus software’s help pages.

Turn Off Proxy Servers

If you’re still experiencing issues with Twitter in Google Chrome, you could try turning off proxy servers in Chrome. Here’s how to do that:

1. Open Google Chrome.
2. Click the three vertical dots menu at the top right and select Settings.
3. From the left-hand menu, choose System.
4. Select Open Your Computer’s Proxy Settings.
5. In the Settings window, ensure the toggle for Automatically Detect Settings is set to off.
6. Under Manual Proxy Setup, ensure the toggle for Use a Proxy Server is off.

Contact Twitter Support

None of the above fixes solved your problem? It’s probably time to contact Twitter support. You might find this is a known issue that’s affecting others too. Even if it’s only affecting you, Twitter support should be able to help and advise what to try next if the above fixes didn’t work for you.

How to Delete Pinterest Boards on the Web

It’s easy to delete a Pinterest board you no longer need on the Pinterest desktop site. Here’s how to do it:

1. Go to Pinterest.com (or whichever site you usually visit for your country).
2. Log into your Pinterest account.
3. Click your profile picture at the top right.
4. Find the board you want to delete and click to open it.
5. Click the three dots to the right of the board name.
6. Select Edit Board.
7. Scroll down and select Delete Board.
8. Click Delete to confirm you want to delete the board.
9. Your Pinterest board should now be deleted!

How to Delete a Board on Pinterest on the iOS/Android App

If you’re using the Pinterest iOS or Android app, it’s just as easy to delete a board you are done with. Here’s how to do it:

1. Open the Pinterest app on your device and log in.
2. Tap your profile picture at the bottom right.
3. Tap the board you want to delete.
4. Tap the three dots at the top right, and select Edit Board.
5. Scroll down and tap Delete.
6. Confirm you want to delete this board by tapping Delete again.

How to Restore a Deleted Pinterest Board

Don’t panic if you delete a board by accident or decide you still need the board. It’s easy to restore deleted Pinterest boards. Note that you can’t restore boards via the iOS or Android apps, so you’ll need to log into your Pinterest account on a desktop device. Just follow the below steps:

1. Click your profile picture at the top right of the screen.
2. Scroll down to Recently Deleted Boards.
3. Click Restore Boards.

4. Find the board you want to restore, click it, and click Restore.

How to Archive Boards on Pinterest on the Web

Deleting a board also deletes all of its pins. What if you’re unsure whether you’ll need your board (or its pins) again in the future? It might be better to archive your board rather than delete it. This moves your board to the bottom of your profile, below active boards, and means you can no longer save pins to the board you archived. It also won’t appear on your public profile.

1. Go to Pinterest.com (or whichever site you usually visit for your country).
2. Log into your account.
3. Click your profile picture at the top right.
4. Click the board you want to archive to open it.
5. Click the three dots next to the board name.
6. Select Archive.
7. To confirm, click Archive again.

8. To unarchive a board that you need, click on your profile photo, then scroll down to Archived Boards. Click on the board you want to unarchive, then click the three dots next to the board name, and click Unarchive. On the following screen, click Unarchive to confirm.

How to Archive Boards on the Pinterest iOS/Android App

The steps to take to archive boards on the Pinterest mobile app for iOS and Android devices are pretty simple. Here’s how to archive boards you no longer need, but might need later:

1. Open the Pinterest app and log into your account.
2. Tap your profile picture at the bottom right.
3. Tap the board you want to archive.
4. Tap the three dots menu at the top right.

5. Select Archive Board, then tap Archive to confirm.

6. If you change your mind and want to unarchive this board, just look for it at the bottom of your boards, tap the board, tap the three dots menu at the top right, then select Unarchive > Unarchive to confirm.

As you can see, deleting boards on Pinterest is easy to do if you no longer need them — and if you make a mistake and delete a board accidentally or decide you need it again, it’s easy to restore a deleted board. The other alternative is to archive a board so that it’s still accessible when you need it in the future, but not cluttering up the view of your active boards. How to Cancel a Physical Gift Card Order

If you placed a gift card order by mistake or you’ve ordered a physical gift card and sent it to the wrong address, you might be able to cancel your order. The easiest way to see if you can do this is to go to your orders in your Amazon account. Here’s how to see if you can cancel Amazon gift cards for physical orders.

How to Cancel a Physical Gift Card Order on the Desktop Site

1. Go to Amazon.com (or the Amazon site for your country).
2. Log into your Amazon account.
3. Click Your Account > Your Orders and find the gift card order.

9. You should see a confirmation at the top of your screen saying “This order has been canceled,” and you should also receive email confirmation of the cancellation.

How to Cancel a Physical Gift Card Order in the Amazon App

You can also cancel your gift card order in the Amazon app, and here’s how to do that.

1. Launch the Amazon app.
2. At the bottom of the screen, tap your account icon.
3. Tap Your Orders.
4. Find the gift card order that you want to cancel and tap it.

5. Select Cancel Order.
6. Ensure the gift card is checked, then tap Cancel Selected Item. You can also select a cancellation reason from the dropdown menu, if you like.
7. Once your order has been canceled, it should vanish from your orders list, and you should receive an email confirming the cancellation.

Unfortunately, if you don’t see the option to cancel your order, you’ll need to contact Amazon customer service by phone or chat with a customer service agent to see if your order can be canceled.

Canceling an Amazon eGift Card Order

If you have ordered an eGift card to be delivered instantly to the recipient’s email address and it has never arrived, or if you entered the wrong email address for delivery, you may not be eligible for a refund. This is entirely at the discretion of Amazon’s customer service team, so you’ll need to reach out to Amazon support to see if they can cancel and refund your order or re-send it to the correct recipient.

To contact customer service in the app, just follow these steps:

1. Launch the Amazon app.

How to Contact Customer Service via the Amazon Desktop Site

If you prefer to use the Amazon desktop site to contact customer service, here’s how to do that:

1. Navigate to Amazon.com (or the Amazon site for your country) and log into your account.
2. Under Account & Lists, select Your Account.
3. Scroll down and select the Customer Service tab.
4. Under Do you need help with a recent item, select your gift card order. If you don’t see your order, select Help with a different item, then select your order.

8. Now, write a message explaining you want to change your birthday. Once you’re done, tap Submit to send the message to customer support.

It may take a few days to receive a response from customer support. When you’re contacted by the support team, the representative will ask to see a government-issued ID to prove your birthday and age. You’ll need to provide this for customer support to update your birthday and age on TikTok.

What if TikTok Support Won’t Update My Date of Birth?

Unfortunately, if you can’t provide a valid ID, your birthday and age will not be updated. If TikTok customer support refuses to change your birthday or age, you can always delete your account and create a new one with the correct birthday.

What Is Age Restriction on TikTok?

TikTok age restriction allows parents or guardians to filter out content that may not be suitable for younger viewers. Here’s how to set up Restricted Mode on TikTok:

1. Launch the TikTok app and go to your profile.
2. Tap the three stacked lines icon at the top right.
3. Tap Settings and Privacy.
4. Scroll down and tap Content Preferences.
5. Tap Restricted Mode.

6. Tap Turn On.
7. Create a four-digit passcode to set up Restricted Mode, then tap Next.

9. To turn off Restricted Mode, follow steps 1 through 5, then tap Turn Off and enter your passcode, and tap Next.

It’s not as simple as you might think to change your age or birthday on TikTok, which is why it’s so important to enter these details correctly — and honestly — when setting up your account.
