As we’ve mentioned, the best method for deleting your order history isn’t deleting them at all—it’s archiving them. Archiving an order doesn’t delete it, but it moves it to a separate page that remains less visible, but still accessible. You can archive up to 500 orders per account.

Because the items are only hidden, it isn’t a foolproof method, as anyone who knows how to access the archived orders page can still see them. If you bought something that you don’t want others who share your account to see, archiving it might not be enough to stop them seeing it.

1. Check Your Wi-Fi or Mobile Data Connection

Amazon Music requires constant access to the internet to stream your multimedia content. The app won’t work as expected if your internet connection is acting up.

Check your phone’s internet connection and ensure it’s active and stable. You can verify your connection’s status by launching your phone’s web browser and opening a site. If you can load the site, your connection is working. If the site fails to load, your connection has an issue.

Returning Amazon Packages through UPS

Returning an Amazon package via UPS is one of the easiest return options as UPS makes the whole process easy. Its return service is free for some clothing items, damaged products, and items sent by mistake. UPS also packages and labels the products for you.

There are two ways to use UPS to return your Amazon order. You can either take it to one of its stores or have a UPS driver come to your house and pick up the package. Remember that most Amazon returns via UPS are free of charge, but if you choose the pick-up method, you’ll have to pay a fee.

Returning an Amazon Purchase With UPS

When you decide to return an item to Amazon, there are several steps to complete. According to Amazon’s return policy, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return it. Their online return center will guide you through the return process.

1. Go to the Amazon website or Amazon app.

2. Log into your Amazon account.

3. From the Amazon home screen, go to your Orders.

4. Find the order you want to return and select Return or replace Item. You can find this option right next to the selected order.

5. Amazon will ask you for a reason for returning the item. Choose the appropriate one from the list that pops up. On this page, also pick the refund method.

6. Find the return method section and choose the UPS Drop-off or UPS Pickup options.

7. Press Submit to complete the return.

Once you submit the return, you can see the Print and Label Instructions. This step is optional; you should click on that button only if you want to print the shipping label yourself. It’ll take you to a new page from which you can print the label directly. If you can’t print the shipping label, UPS will do it for free.

Choosing the UPS Drop-off Method

If you take your package to the nearest UPS store, you only have to take the item to them. You don’t need to pack it or print the label. UPS can do that for you. But if you want to save time, you can pack it in the box you received, print the label, and attach it to the box.

Check your email before you go to the UPS store to return the package. UPS will send you a return shipping code to show to their employee when you arrive at their store.

Choosing the UPS Pickup Method

If you choose the Pickup Method, the Amazon website should tell you when you can expect the UPS driver to come to your house and take the return package. You must pack the item yourself, but you won’t need to print and attach the return label. UPS can do this for you.

Do note that not all Amazon items are eligible for the UPS pickup return option.

Amazon QR Code Explained

Amazon QR code is a new feature that can be very helpful if you live near a UPS store.

If the item you’re returning is eligible for a no-box-no-label return, you must choose the Drop-off return method during your return process on Amazon’s website. Amazon will email you a QR code that you can show to the UPS employee in the store. They will scan the QR code and confirm the return of the item. That’s it. You won’t have to worry about packing or labeling the item yourself. However, the QR code doesn’t work if you choose the pick-up return option.

UPS is not the only service that uses an Amazon QR code to confirm the return of a package. You can use it for all in-store returns at Amazon physical stores and hubs, Kohl’s stores, and some Whole Foods Markets. If you want other services that accept Amazon returns, continue reading.

Other Drop Off Locations for Amazon Return Packages

You will see other options besides UPS when you choose your shipping method. They are all great alternatives if you don’t have a UPS store near you.

Return the Package to Kohl’s

When you start the Amazon return process, instead of UPS, you can choose Kohl’s drop-off. You’ll receive a QR code that you need to present at Kohl’s. After they scan it, they will pack, label, and ship your Amazon product. Their service is free, too. You may even get lucky and receive a Kohl’s coupon after you make your Amazon returns there.

Head to Amazon’s Own Physical Stores or a Hub Locker

You can use their services to return your package if you live near an Amazon physical store or their hub locker. Stores such as Amazon Go, Amazon Fresh, and Amazon Style also need to scan the QR code to return an item. Not all items can be returned through the Amazon Store Dropoff option. If your package is not eligible, you’ll be offered other return methods.

Amazon Hub lockers are another great way to return your package. When you choose this option, Amazon will email you a dropoff code that you will insert into the locker’s touchscreen display. Just follow the instructions on the screen to drop off your package in the locker. Note that your return items must be properly packaged and boxed to use Amazon’s physical stores and the Hub locker.

Also, you should be aware that Amazon is closing some of its physical stores nationwide, and finding one near you can be challenging.

Whole Foods Market Accepts Amazon Returns

When you start the Amazon return process, you can select Whole Foods Market as a drop-off location. But be aware that only some of them accept the no-box free returns. For others, you’ll have to pack and label the package yourself. You can also choose the preferred store, but if the ones near you are not listed, those store locations aren’t eligible for returns.

Again, Amazon will email you the QR code you must show Whole Foods Market employees to return your package. The returns are made at the store’s access point, either at a return kiosk or a customer service desk.

Try Out DoorDash Service to Return Amazon Orders

DoorDash is now offering a new feature: package returns. That means you can request a Dasher to come to your house and pick up the Amazon package for return. They offer to take your package to the nearest UPS, FedEx, USPS, or physical store. But they won’t take your package to the lockers. Their service is not free, and your return item has to be packed, sealed, and labeled properly.

Can I Transfer My Amazon Gift Card Balance?

The short answer is no, you cannot transfer your Amazon gift card balance. Amazon’s Terms and Conditions include several prohibited activities which heavily restrict what individuals are able to do with their gift cards, including:

1. Transferring the balance of a gift card to another Amazon account once the claim code has been redeemed.
2. Transferring the balance of a gift card to a debit card or credit card (like Mastercard or Visa).
3. Using the balance of a gift card to withdraw funds to a bank account.
4. Transferring the balance of a gift card to your PayPal account, Amazon Pay balance, Cash App, or any other online payment service.
5. Using the gift card to purchase another gift card.
6. Using the Amazon gift card to get cash out (except in certain cases where it is required by law).
7. Transferring the gift card to another country.

The only chance you have of transferring your Amazon gift card or the gift card balance to another account is by contacting customer service. But because Amazon explicitly warns users to check which account they’re logged into when redeeming their gift card, it is unlikely that they will reverse the redemption and allow it to be redeemed on a separate account.

Note: If you haven’t yet redeemed your gift card, you may be able to redeem it on a different account (if it isn’t linked to the original account).

How to Transfer Amazon Gift Card Balance

As mentioned above, the only way to transfer funds from an Amazon gift card balance is by having Amazon’s customer service team reverse the redemption. This essentially resets the card information so that you can reload it on a different account using a new gift card code.

To contact Amazon’s customer support:

1. Open the Amazon website and sign into your account.
2. Click the three horizontal lines on the left-hand side of the screen.

3. Scroll down and click Customer Service.

4. Click Payments, Charges, Invoices & Gift Cards.

5. Click Gift Cards.

6. Click Applied to the wrong account.

7. Click I need more help.

8. Either request a phone call by clicking Request call now or chat with a customer service agent online by selecting Start chatting now.

Note: It is highly unlikely that Amazon will grant your request to reverse a redemption. However, as an exception to their policy, they may decide to reverse it. This will differ from case to case, but as it’s your only chance to get the gift card back, it’s worth a shot. Also, note that this will only be possible if the gift card balance is untouched. If any of the gift card balance has been spent, it will be impossible to unredeem the card under any circumstances.

How to Exchange Amazon Gift Card for Cash

If contacting Amazon’s customer service doesn’t work for you, you may need to resort to more creative methods.

If you are yet to redeem your gift card, it’s possible to sell the gift card using social media and online marketplace platforms like Reddit or Craigslist. Likewise, people are often open to gift card exchanges where you might trade one gift card for another. However, beware when doing this as many people will try to scam you, and it goes against the Amazon Terms and Conditions.

A final thing to consider is to offer to buy a few items from Amazon for your friends or family in return for cash. This way, your friends receive the items they were going to buy anyway and you get cash that you can use however you would like.

While gift cards are often thought of as an easy present option, they almost always come with fine print that reduces their usefulness. How to Add a Review on Amazon

You’ll often receive an email after a purchase asking you to leave a review. Usually, this email contains a link or review button you can use to do just that. But you can also visit Amazon.com or use the mobile app to leave feedback and write a review.

Add a Review on the Web

Visit Amazon.com and sign into your account. Then head to the list of your order history using the navigation at the top.

1. Select either Account & Lists > Orders in the drop-down menu or use the Returns & Orders button.

2. On the next page, confirm that you’re on the Orders tab.
3. To the right of a product, select Write a Product Review.

4. Start by adding an overall star rating for the product. You can then rate the product per individual category if you like. These categories vary depending on the type of product you’re reviewing.

5. Add a headline for the title of your review and optionally include photos or videos if you believe it’ll help other shoppers.
6. Finally, you can add a written review if you’d like to leave feedback.
7. When you finish, select Submit.

You won’t see your review appear on the product page immediately. Amazon will first ensure the review isn’t in exchange for money, self-promoting, or misleading.

When your review is accepted, you’ll receive an email informing you that it’ll appear on the product page with the other customer reviews.

Add a Review in the Mobile App

Open the Amazon mobile app on Android or iPhone and access your orders to pick a product.

1. Go to your profile tab and select Your Orders to choose the product.

2. In the How’s Your Item? section, select Write a Product Review.
3. Provide an overall review using the stars at the top and a rating for each category optionally.
4. Enter a title and optionally add a photo, video, or written review.
5. Tap Submit.

How to See Your Reviews on Amazon

Maybe you want to revisit a review you’ve written or edit one. You can see all the Amazon product reviews you’ve provided by accessing your public profile.

1. Visit Amazon.com and sign in. Select Account & Lists > Account in the drop-down menu on the top right.
2. On the next screen, choose Your Profiles.

3. Then, select the link for Amazon Public Profile. Be sure you see a message at the top stating that you are seeing a private view of your public profile.

4. In the Community Activity section on the right, choose View: All Activity and pick Reviews.

You’ll then see a list of all your submitted reviews. You can use See Full Review to see just that or select the product you reviewed to view its detail page.

See Reviews in the Mobile App

1. Open the Amazon mobile app and go to the profile tab.
2. Tap your Amazon profile icon in the top right corner. You should see a message at the top letting you know this is the private view of your public profile.

3. In the Community Activity section, choose View: All Activity and pick Reviews.

You’ll then see all of your submitted reviews. You can tap See Full Review or select the product to view its detail page.

How to Edit or Delete an Amazon Review

Maybe you left a positive review for a product and have changed your mind. Or perhaps you did the opposite and left a negative review and have a change of heart. You can edit or delete your own reviews easily.

Edit or Delete a Review on the Web

While signed in on Amazon.com, access your reviews in your public profile as described above.

1. Either select the three dots on the top right of a review or use See Full Review.
2. Then pick Edit Review or Edit. To remove the review, select Delete Review or Delete instead and then confirm the deletion.

3. If you choose to edit the review, you’ll see your review, including stars, photos, and written content as you submitted it. Make your changes and select Submit.

Edit or Delete a Review in the Mobile App

While in the Amazon mobile app, access your reviews as described earlier.

1. Tap the three dots on the top right of a review or select See Full Review.
2. Pick Edit Review or Edit. To remove the review instead, select Delete Review or Delete and then confirm the deletion.

3. If you decide to edit the review, make your changes and select Submit.

It takes only a minute to submit a review on Amazon, whether you simply add stars or go all out and include a photo and a written review. Be helpful to your fellow shoppers with a solid and honest review.

Whatever the case, you can easily download your Amazon order history. Along with orders, you can view items, refunds, and returns. Plus, you can select the dates or view a few quick reports.

Access Your Amazon Purchase History

Currently, the feature to download purchase history is only available in your account settings on the Amazon website, not the mobile app. So, visit Amazon.com and sign in to your Amazon account.

1. On the top right below your name, pick Accounts & Lists.
   
2. Select Account in the drop-down menu.
   
3. Scroll to the Ordering and Shopping Preferences section and choose Download Order Reports.
   

If you plan to visit this spot often to obtain reports regularly, you may want to bookmark the report page.

Use a Quick Set Option

In the top section of the page, Request Order History Report, you’ll see a box containing Quick Set Options.

These reports give you a fast snapshot of items from Last Month, the Last 30 Days, Last Year, and Year to Date. Note those reports with asterisks may take longer to process.

1. Select a report and you’ll see the fields to the left populate automatically.
   
2. The Quick Set Options are available for items by default. Be sure to change the Report Type if you want orders, returns, or refunds.
   
3. Optionally enter a Report Name.
   
4. Pick Request Report.
   

Create an Order History Report

To see items, orders, returns, or refunds in a specific date range, you can set up a custom report.

1. In the top section of the page, choose the Report Type using the drop-down list.
   
2. Enter the start date and end date. For the end date, you can select Use Today if you like.
   
3. Optionally enter a Report Name.
   
4. Select Request Report.
   

You’ll see a brief message that your report has been requested and is in progress. You can also view the real-time status of the report in the Request Status section and Your Reports at the bottom of the page.

You’ll receive an email to the address connected to your Amazon account when your report is ready. So if you want to take care of other business instead of waiting for the report, just check your email for the notification.

Download Your Amazon Order History

The email you receive when your report is ready contains a link to download the report immediately and another link to view all of your reports.

If you use the download link in the email, this opens your browser and places the report in your default Downloads folder.

If you visit Amazon.com to see your reports, select the Download button to the right of the report. Then, head to your Downloads folder to open it.

View Your Amazon Order History Report

By default, the report is a CSV file format. For the best view, open it with Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers, or another spreadsheet application on your computer.

Depending on the report type you choose, you’ll see different information in the file. Basic details in the reports can include order ID, order date, shipment date, item title, product category, ASIN/ISBN, seller, shipping name and address, and quantity.

In addition to the above details, you’ll also see the following information per report type:

• Items: Condition (new, used), list price per unit, purchase price per unit, carrier name and tracking number, subtotals and totals
• Orders and Shipments: Shipping charge, payment method, promotions, tax charged, order status, carrier name and tracking number, subtotals and totals
• Returns: Return date and return reason

Be sure to save the report if you plan to review it further later, share it, or send it via email. Alternatively, you can return to the Amazon Reports page and redownload the file.
